How to make my office more sustainable?

My office has recently been trying to up their green game; we did away with our paper towels and now only have dish towels, we only buy the Eco-products for disposable cups and plates when we have any events, and all of our hand and dish soap is environmentally friendly. We'd like to invest in more ways to "go green" but not sure what else we can do. Any ideas or thoughts would be helpful!

Hey, Melissa!

Great job for you and your office for wanting to up your green game. Every little bit helps!

How is your lighting? All LED, on motion sensors when applicable or take advantage of day lighting (natural light) when possible?

What about all your appliances and electronics? Everything energy efficient? Unplugged when not in use? Energy star rated? Turned off at the end of the day? Set to sleep mode during the day when you're not using them? Printer/copier settings set to black/white and print on both sides?

How about waste reduction? Reducing where possible (no Keurigs!), reusing next, and recycling what's left. Reusable plates, silverware, cups, mugs, classes, etc. for every day use. Composting food scraps?

Heating and cooling working well? Temps set a little cooler in the winter (you can always layer up!) and a little warmer in the summer (utilize fans, shades, etc to reduce heating up from the sun). Setbacks for when the building isn't in use?

How about outside landscaping? You can build a better home for wildlife and plant pollinator gardens, natives, hang bird feeders, bee boxes, bat boxes, etc.

Carpooling or public transportation incentives for employees?

Just some ideas off the top of my head :)
