Newark Street Park K-9 Friends works in partnership with DC Department of Parks and Recreation to maintain Newark Street Dog Park as a clean, safe, and enjoyable place for dogs to play and people to visit.
Newark Street Park K-9 Friends was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2009 to maintain and oversee the Newark Street Dog Park. DC Department of Parks and Recreation built and opened the dog park in Fall 2010 as part of the Newark Street Park complex at 39th and Newark Streets in Northwest Washington, DC.
