About
This beautiful 70-acre pastoral park offers a cornucopia of activities including biking, jogging, hiking, basketball, disc golf, baseball and softball fields (permit takes priority), grass fields for soccer, lacrosse or football (permit takes priority), tennis and volleyball courts, tennis court practice wall (can be rented), a school-age playground, vending machines, picnic areas, multi-use paths and natural areas with streams. The park is home to a myriad of fitness-based community events, including the Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s Walk for the Animals.
Bluemont Park is a model of sustainable design including natural resources management containing invasive plant removal that has made way for native species to grow, and also includes a pollinator patch. The W&OD Trail, which is managed by NOVA Parks, runs through the park if you’re looking to bike or go for a jog. The park also surrounds Reevesland, which was the last operating dairy farm in Arlington.
